Thursday 23 June 2016

On Sunday February 28th, the Australian Islamic Mission organised a bike ride in partnership with Sydney Muslim Cyclists from the Blue Mountains to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in support of the Heart Centre for Children. Through the 80-kilometre adventure, the 30 riders raised an incredible $12,000 which will go towards purchasing a new heart lung machine. Cardiologist Dr Christian Turner was on hand to receive the cheque from Eahab Arja, event manager representing AIM and Omar El-Eter from SMC. Dr Turner, on behalf of the hospital thanked everyone who rode and contributed. “These funds will make such a difference,” he said.
