AIM’S RIDE YOUR HEART OUT RAISES $21,000 FOR THE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL AT WESTMEAD

On Sunday March 8th, the Australian Islamic Mission organised a bike ride from the Blue Mountains to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in support of the Heart Centre for Children. Through the 80-kilometer adventure, the 35 riders raised an incredible $21,000 which will go towards purchasing a new heart lung machine. Cardiologist A/Prof Gary Sholler was on hand to receive the cheque from AIM’s vice-president Siddiq Buckley. Dr Sholler, on behalf of the hospital thanked everyone who rode and contributed. “These funds will make such a difference,” he said. The inaugural event management team was led by Eahab Arja.
