Today Muslim youth may be exposed to information about gender relations that may not be wholesome or in agreement with the teachings of Islam. AIM Youth in conjunction with Deen Academy will be hosting the SEFMY (Sex Education for Muslim Youth) program for boys aged 13-16 on Saturday 20th August 2016 from 2.30pm to 5.30pm inshaAllah.
The program will be delivered by Dr Zachariah Matthews, principal instructor with Deen Academy. Dr Matthews has extensive experience working with youth and teaches this program using Islamic ideals and values.
Program Outline (Boys 13-16 years):
- Physical Hygiene (cleanliness, prayer, etc)
- Personal Modesty (dress code, etc)
- Human Development (age of maturity, etc)
- Human Reproduction (marriage, etc)
- Gender Relations (interaction, etc)
- Guidelines for Obedience
